A. JOB SUMMARY: The Account Officers, will supervise the organization’s general bookkeeping staff and monitor all account transactions. they will perform accounting duties and managerial responsibilities in their role. A skilled Account Officer can help a company create and maintain accurate, extensive financial records and process payments and invoices with greater efficiency.


· Creating and processing invoices

· Cross-checking invoices with payments and expenses to ensure accuracy

· Managing a company’s accounts payable and receivable

· Sending bills and invoices to clients

· Tracking organization expenses

· Processing refunds

· Working with collection agencies on overdue payments

· Communicating with clients regarding billing and payments

· Daily monitoring of stock movement (products)

· Ensure compliance with tax matters and liaise with tax authorities

· Prepares and update monthly payroll with the use of spreadsheets.

· Preparation and remittance of monthly PAYE and VAT to relevant tax authorities

· Oversee the day-to-day operations of the company including daily account reconciliation, cash/treasury management, and internal/external financial reporting


· B.Sc in Accounting / Economics

· ACCA/ICAN/ACA is an added advantage.

· Minimum of 4 years relevant work experience.

· Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook and Quick Books ERP

· Ability to multi-task and prioritize.

· Highly organized and detail-oriented.

· Extensive understanding of financial trends, both within the company and general market patterns.

· Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.

· Able to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used/followed.

· A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.

· Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulation.
